Centenary Stormers FC is a community club, based in Darra and servicing the Western Suburbs. We are located at “Tornado Alley” at Atthows Park, 250 Monier Road, Darra (just off the Centenary Highway).
Founded in the early 1980s, we operated solely as a junior club until 2006 when we fielded our first women’s team and in 2007 we added a men’s team!
We are a club catering to the whole family and providing opportunities for everyone to participate in and enjoy our undisputed global game, regardless of age, gender, cultural background or ability! local club, proud of our players playing to the best of their ability and in the spirit of fair play and fun.
We encourage all players from all walks of life, backgrounds, abilities, and skill level. We foster teamwork, skill development, and a passion for football among our community, provide a platform for players to showcase their athletic abilities and engage with the community. Through regular practices, matches, and community involvement, our club embodies sportsmanship, dedication, and a shared enthusiasm for football.
We are proud of our local roots and growth as a whole, especially in the following areas:
- Puddles (ages 2-5)
- MiniRoos (Under 6-Under 12)
- Juniors (Under 13-Under 18)
- Girls in football
- Women in football
- Seniors (Premierships of both men & women teams in recent years)
- Women’s Legends (over 30s)
- Men’s Masters (over 35s)
- FQPL3 teams (Under 23s & First Team)
Over recent years we have seen our numbers of registered players grow from 319 players in 2019 to just under 500 in 2023! We anticipate further growth in the 2024 season with our new and continued relationships, returning players, and player and volunteer networks, as well as interest from the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup!

Our 2023 Season
Centenary Stormers F.C. is a prominent club in the Centenary and Western suburbs of Brisbane region with great numbers, increasing each year. We are a community club both on and off field and want to foster a sustainable future for our members.
Our club now has:
- Approx. 500 registered players
- 16 MiniRoos Teams (Under 6 – Under 12)
- 5 Junior Teams (Under 13 – Under 18)
- 4 Senior Metro division teams (2 mens & 2 womens)
- 3 Men’s Masters teams (Over 35)
- 1 Women’s Legends team (over 30)
- 2 FQPL teams (FQPL3 and FQPL U23)
- Over 50 registered players with Pushing Barriers, a not-for-profit charity with the primary objective being to advance and improve the lives and welfare of refugee youth by providing them with opportunities and funding to be included and welcomed into Australian culture and society through sport.
- Partnership with an elite football program supporting local academy and aspiring players year round.
- Regularly hires of our fields for use for local tournaments, private coaching, football camps, and more!
- An extensive, supportive community of more than 2,500 people, comprising of players, parents and supporters.
